FAQs

Pet Portraits

Do you have a waiting list?

I do not currently have a formal waiting list.

How long is the processing time for a pet portrait?

Each embroidery can take anywhere between 10 to 30 + hours to hand stitch depending on the size and finish of the piece. I aim for most artwork to be shipped within two weeks of payment. Shipping time can vary depending on your location.

Can my Pet Portrait be framed?

I can frame your portrait for you at an extra charge. This may also add some time onto the processing of the artwork. Please let me know in advance if you would prefer your embroidery framed in advance.

What kind of photos should I send you, how many do you need, and how should I send them to you?

I generally, when possible create your embroidery directly from your photos, so please send good quality images that are a good representation of what you would like your portrait to look like. It is best to send at least two images for me to refer to and work from in order to maximise the quality of you portrait. You can send the photos to my email, info@artisia.co.uk.

Original Artwork

What kind of fabric do you embroider on?

I tend to use either cotton canvas material or cotton twill fabric. However for commissions the type and colour of material can be discussed prior to creating your embroidery.

What type of embroidery floss or thread do you use?

I use either DMC embroidery floss or Gütermann cotton threads.

If there is something you would like to know that is not addressed here, or something you think I should add to this list please email me at, info@artisia.co.uk.
